This isn’t Hawaii, its better!

A few shots from a days exploration along the Atlantic coastline, as the sea began to awaken from its mid-year slumber. For sure its often dull, misty, cold or damp but when the waves kick into the Irish coastline it can be as good as anywhere in the world.

I love exploring those boggy fields and untended fences that are unique to the west of Ireland and more often than not lead to a gem of a wave! Or if not they give a glimmer of hope that there is potential for a gem on certain days. It’s stored away for a future ramble, whenever that maybe and wherever it may take us. Hope is one of the best things you can have and with surfing the variables are plenty; there’s always hope that one day all will align to bring a glimpse of that magic you dreamt of in the days gone by.
