Hugo Vau Barreled on his First Day at Mullaghmore

Back in Ireland for a few weeks over Winter I (Neil) was eager to catch some big wave surfing; the second last day of my trip an opportunity presented itself at Mullaghmore.

Known as one of the biggest and heaviest waves in Europe; we were lucky to catch Andrew Cotton tow-in Hugo Vau on his first outing at Mully. The day was cold with heavy rain, only a handful were watching from the headland.

We persevered, as did Cotty and Hugo in the tough conditions, to capture a few of the memorable waves of the day; edited into the video above.
