In the 21st century, the land of Leprechauns and Guinness has become one of the newest frontiers in the sport of surfing. The rest of the world is only now discovering what the Irish have known for a while – the west coast of Ireland has some very fine, fine waves. One of the centers of Irish surfing is the charming beach town of Strandhill. Local Style visits with Strandhill surfer/bodyboarder, Seamus ‘Shambles’ Mc Goldrick, and gets his historical low down of the area.
